What is a Weight Loss Cleanse?

A weight loss cleanse is meant to remove the toxins and impurities from

your body
.
Cleansing draws out those toxins that make us ill, like those we breathe in or consume.
Often times these toxins make it hard for us to lose weight using conventional means.

There are different types of cleanses. Some of them are oral remedies and some involve using enemas. Some even involve fasting.

There are so many different weight loss cleanses out there that you can buy or make yourself at home.

Doing a basic search will give you many available options.

What does a Weight Loss Cleanse Remove?

woman-drinking-waterCleansing can remove toxins picked up in the air, like pollution; chemicals in our water and food, like pesticides and preservatives; toxins from any medications; parasites and much more.

If you smoke or breathe in second hand smoke, it can help remove those toxins as well.

Certain foods, like refined flour and sugar do damage to

your body, as well as artificial sweetener, margarine and others.

Too many toxins in the body make us ill and can impair our natural cleansing processes, as well as effect our metabolism and other systems that regulate weight.
This is one of the reasons why using a weight loss cleanse regularly, as instructed, is important.

Why some Diets don’t keep the Weight off

Your body may store some toxins in your fatty deposits. As these fat deposits shrink, those toxins are released into your blood stream, often times causing side effects such as headaches and dizziness, etc.

Unless you have a proper method of cleansing in place, they will just circulate then be stored in new fat tissue.

This is just one of the reasons why toxins can make it so that you can’t lose much weight, and also may make you gain weight as well.

Quick and Easy

Whether you’re cooking for two, ten or a WHOLE Army (ok, maybe not that many), you can get into the habit of cooking quick healthy recipes almost effortlessly.

You don’t want to be stuck having to spend your hard earned money eating out all the time, nor do you want to have to opt for boxed, bagged or frozen meals constantly.

So what are the alternatives? Who really has time to cook healthy food from scratch these days? YOU DO! With just a little planning and prep work before hand.

It’s Ready When You Are

Remember back in the old days when home cooked meals were the norm, not the exception? Those seriously delicious smells wafting from grandma’s oven?

Those days may be gone, but good healthy home cooked meals don’t have to be. But with so much to do, how do you plan for quick healthy recipes?

Your Slow Cooker, Your NEW Best Friend

Yep…you wanna become best buds with your slow cooker. Start by pre-soaking some dried beans that you like, or even a combination of them.

You can do this overnight, then in the morning, just drain and rinse them, toss them into the slow cooker with a little onion, some spices and even some meat if you want.

Put the lid on, set the cooker on “low” then go about your daily business and when you come home or are ready later for dinner your quick healthy recipe will be ready to serve.

There are a VAST variety of crock pot recipes out there. They are easy to find, and also you can adapt almost any recipe to cook in a slow cooker.

You can start your food and go…and all without having to heat up your kitchen in hot summer months. Even college students can prepare quick healthy recipes in their dorm room with a crockpot. (The perfect gift for someone going away to college)

Strip That Fat - Achieve Your Healthy Weight

Striping that fat from your body will help you get to your ideal weight.

The one thing I can assure you of… losing weight is not easy for ANY of us who are or have ever been overweight. If it were, we would not have been overweight in the first place.

Achieving your healthy weight isn’t so much about how you look, but more about how you feel.
If you are huffing and puffing from doing small chores or a little exercise, you are carrying too much fat for your body to handle.

1200 Calorie Diets Can Wreck Your Metabolism -

Ever wonder why many fad diets want to start EVERYONE on a low 1200 calories? Yes, you can lose weight on 1200 calories a day, but you have a lot more to lose.

Unless you are very careful and know exactly how to get the proper nutrition out of that small amount of calories, you could be setting yourself up to slow your metabolism, by putting yourself into starvation mode.

Do this too often and you can severely mess up your metabolism…how’s that as a great bonus?
It’s best if you don’t try to lose weight on 1200 calories, but pick a plan that is more fulfilling and less apt to keep you always hungry.

Your “diet” should be something you can manage for a very long time…if not for life. Yo-yo dieting is no good. Opt for more calories and something that is livable.

To lose weight on 1200 calories, only to gain it back plus more, does not make good sense.

If you don’t have much to lose, you could possibly meat your goals this summer…if not, then now is the perfect time to get busy so you can enjoy all these things next summer.

Don’t put it off for the right time….there will never be one. You don’t have to beat yourself up or force yourself to do 2 hour workouts…. just get moving.

Don’t you think it’s time that you Strip That Fat!?!

When it’s gone, it’s gone

This goes with our previous post where we talked about junk foods.

If you must have them, decide ahead of time how much you will “need” to satisfy your cravings.

Any of you who have had children may know the frustration of some of their constant wants for junk food.

My son who is only six could literally eat a bag of chips a day… no kidding.

It can be really hard to set limits for children.  You could barely have one foot in the door with the groceries before they want to gobble up all those sugary and salty snacks.

I would get so weary from struggling with them. I usually allow my kids to pick 1-2 snacks for the week.

Instead of making myself crazy with trying to prevent the kids (especially my son) from eating too many portions in one day, I have adopted the “when it’s gone, it’s gone” rule.

It’s not really the healthiest of rules…as he sometimes will still go through a bag of chips in a day.
But he is getting used to the idea that if he eats it all the moment we get home…there are no snacks left for the week for him.

We can also use this rule on ourselves.  If you chose an unhealthy snack for yourself, you could try to limit your portion size so you can have enough to get your through…
Or ultimately, when it’s gone, it’s gone… then you won’t be having any more until your next shopping trip.

Don’t Go Hungry

Today I’m going to get groceries.  I’ve made my list, and I’m eating before I go.

These are two very important things to do when you want to make sure you don’t overspend or buy things you really shouldn’t.

When you have a list, you’re less likely to just “look around” because you’re not really sure what you want. This can lead to impulse buying of a lot of foods that might not be so healthy for you.

Even if you regularly buy some less than healthy snacks, this could make you buy even more, especially if you’re hungry.

This is our other tip…never go hungry.  If you are hungry, your hunger will try to guide your purchases.
You will be more prone to buy those junk foods that would give you that “quick fix”.

You want to make sure you can get in and out quickly, while still getting everything you need for the week…or whatever time period you are purchasing for.

If you must buy junk food…plan it out…how much will you really need to keep you satisfied? Put it on your list and try not to deviate from your plan.
